Welcome to “TheElectricBike.com” YouTube channel. In this video, you will know the different classes of electric bikes. Electric bikes (eBikes) are gaining transportation in the United States after enjoying years of popularity in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. For this reason, several “classes” were created in Europe defining how and where specific ebikes could be used. Variations of these classes are now becoming relevant in America and other locales as laws are put in place determining whether and where an e-bike can be used on the road, bike paths and mountain biking trails. The following video showcases one bike from each of the three classes and I get some expert advice from an electric bike dealer.
Many kinds of e-bikes are available worldwide, from ebikes that only have a small motor to assist the rider’s pedal-power. You should understand the three classes of electric bikes.
Class 1: The motor kicks in only when you pedal, and stops helping at 20 mph.
Class 2: It also has a pedal-assist mode up to 20 mph plus a purely throttle-powered mode.
Class 3: Is solely pedal-assist (like class 1), but assistance continues until you hit 28 mph.
To be fit and healthy you need to be physically active. Regular physical activity can help protect you from serious diseases such as obesity, heart disease, cancer, mental illness, diabetes, and arthritis. Riding your bicycle regularly is one of the best ways to reduce your risk of health problems associated with a sedentary lifestyle. Cycling is a healthy, low-impact exercise that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from young children to older adults. It is also fun, cheap and good for the environment.
